Obituary for David A. McMahan

David A. McMahan, age 88, of Rocky Face, passed away on Sunday, June 17, 2018 at Tranquility of Dalton.He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Carlock McMahan; parents, Dosson and Ruby McMahan; brothers and a sister-in-law, E. B. and Ann McMahan, Hoyt McMahan; sister and brother-in-law, Lucille and Hershel Starks.Mr. McMahan was a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Korean conflict.He is survived by a brother and sisters-in-law, Trammell and Irene McMahan of Townsend, TN and Katheryn McMahan of Dalton; special caregiver, Billie York of Rocky Face; nieces and nephews also survive.The funeral service will be held Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home with Chaplain Greg Miles and Rev. Mark Carlock officiating. Burial will be in Dunnagan Cemetery.       The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 12:00 noon until the service time at 2:00.
