Obituary for Elbert Clayton

Elbert Clayton, age 90, of Cohutta, passed away Saturday, August 11, 2018 at North Fulton Hospital, Roswell, GA. Mr. Clayton was preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Lola Clayton; brother, W.L. “Bud” Clayton; and sisters, Willodyne Smith and Marie Elkins. Survivors include his loving wife, Pauline Clayton of Cohutta; daughters, Patricia Clayton of Roswell, Debbie Thomas of Rocky Face, and Charline Luckey of Augusta; sisters, Anna Mae Dantzler of Ringgold, and Shirley Delatorre of Marietta; grandchildren, Dr. Michael (Tracy) Thompson, Krista (Michael) Roth, Tiffany (Justin) Blackwell, Tatum Thomas, Bryan (Kim) Luckey, Alan (Marci) Luckey; 8 great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. A funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Clayton will be held on Friday, August 17, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Adam Warren and Rev. Tommy Ridley officiating. Burial will follow in West Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, August 16, 2018 from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. You may leave the family a message at Funeral arrangements are by Julian Peeples Funeral Home, Pleasant Grove Chapel, Dalton.  For further information, call 706-259-7455.
