Obituary for Floyd Lee Edwards

Floyd Lee Edwards, age 85, of Dalton, passed away on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at Hamilton Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Ida Edwards; sister, Audrey Burgess; brothers, B.F. Edwards and Leon Edwards. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served during the Korean War Conflict. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Sarah Jane Moore Edwards of the residence; son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Judy Edwards of Rocky Face, Georgia; brother, Earnest Edwards of Dalton; grandsons, Dustin Edwards and Derek Edwards both of Rocky Face, Georgia; and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to give a special thanks to all friends and family for their help and support. The funeral service will be held Monday, September 18, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home with Pastor Deary Kittle officiating. Burial will be in the United Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family is asking that all memorial contributions be sent to National Kidney Foundation 270 Peachtree St. Suite 1040 Atlanta, Ga. 30303.  You may leave a message for the family at Funeral arrangements are by Julian Peeples Funeral Home, Dalton.
