Obituary for Gene Fetzer

Gene Fetzer, age 85, of Dalton, passed away Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at Hamilton Medical Center.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Fetzer; parents, Ollie and Zula Mae Fetzer; sisters, Patricia McKissick and Thelma Bazzell; brother, Larry Fetzer; sisters-in-law, Frances Fetzer and Shirley Fetzer; and brothers-in-law, Clyde Smith, Wallace Cooper, and Bob Dixon.
Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Mike Arthur of Cohutta; sisters and brothers-in-law, Joy Diane and Gerald Rowland of Dalton, and Frances and J.V. Williams of Cohutta; brothers and sisters-in-law, Frank Bentley Fetzer, Sr. of Dalton, Ronald and Irana Fetzer of Cohutta, Charles and Judy Fetzer of Cohutta, and Fielding and Judy Fetzer of Dalton; sisters-in-law, Debbie Fetzer, Eva Dixon, and Opal Cooper, all of Dalton, and Lynn Cooper of Varnell; beloved nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held Friday, March 31, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Dalton 1st United Methodist Church with Rev. Tommy Willingham.
The family will receive friends at Dalton 1st United Methodist Church on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until the service time at 1:00 p.m.
Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery.
